14k Gold Price Per Gram
Live 14k gold pricing with an hourly spot-market feed, melt-value maths across 12 currencies, and what a buyer will realistically pay.
The site answers a question the commodity data alone does not: not what gold is worth, but what someone will actually hand you for it. It ingests the live spot price hourly, converts troy ounces to grams, applies purity (14k is 58.3% gold), and then applies the buyer margin that makes the number honest — typically 70 to 85% of melt. The calculator handles five weight units, purities from 24k down to 9k, and twelve currencies. A reference table runs the same maths for every weight from 1g to 100g, and the content is explicit about what the price excludes: stones, craftsmanship and plating.
A live-data content site has a failure mode that a static one does not — a stale or broken feed silently publishes wrong numbers at scale across every page and every currency. The ingestion layer is built so the displayed figure always carries its own freshness, and the derived tables are generated from one conversion path rather than recomputed per page, so a fix to the maths is a fix everywhere at once.
- 01A stale feed publishes wrong numbers across every page at once
- 02Melt value alone misleads — sellers get paid a margin below it
- 03Keeping derived tables consistent across 12 currencies
- Freshness travels with the displayed figure
- Buyer-margin modelling on top of raw melt value
- Single conversion path feeding every derived table
