ClearMind
A free AI-assisted CBT and Rational Self-Analysis toolkit — voice-first journaling that identifies thinking patterns and helps reframe them.
ClearMind is a self-reflection toolkit built on Rational Self-Analysis, a structured method from cognitive-behavioural approaches for identifying irrational thoughts, challenging them and replacing them with healthier patterns. The flow is three steps: record or type an experience by voice or text, let the AI identify the thinking patterns and suggest reframes, then track progress over time. Around that sit a daily journal with AI emotion detection, a progress dashboard with streaks and trends, an accountability partner system, and an AI growth coach. Core features are free, supported by ads, with a Pro tier for an ad-free experience and extended coaching and reports.
Anything touching mental health carries a duty of care that shapes the build, not just the copy. The product states plainly that it is for self-reflection and skill-building and is not therapy, diagnosis or medical advice — and the interaction design holds that line rather than leaving it to a disclaimer. Voice-first input was the other defining constraint: people will say something out loud that they will not type, which makes transcription quality and latency a product requirement rather than a technical detail.
- 01A duty of care that has to be designed in, not disclaimed
- 02Voice input where latency and accuracy are product requirements
- 03Storing genuinely sensitive personal reflection safely
- Scope held explicitly to self-reflection and skill-building, never therapy
- Voice-first pipeline built for low-latency transcription
- Encrypted storage with user-controlled export and deletion
